Kevin Abstract is a gay and African American song wrighter, singer, and rapper He makes songs involving past relationships, racism, homophobia, and current loves. Many of his verses are about his expericance as his race and sexuality and work to normilize others like himself.

His album "American Boyfrind" is an album about his love life as a African American gay man growing up in suberban Texas and his struggle with his friends and family. It is a beautifully written album with a lot of powerful messages that you don't see many artists giving. He has also made a short flim titled "Billy Star" featuring some of BROCKHAMPTON's music as well as his own about a romance between two male characters in suburban Texas.

Their style of music and procution have changed over the years, but Kevin and the group have still been able to keep their enegetic feel. They have members of different cultural and ethic backgrounds, making them a very diverse group. He and the other members of the group have been able to write about their struggles collecitvly, such as mental health, addiction and immigrtion.
